"Transfer Shockwaves: Manchester City's Jaw-Dropping £77m Bid for RB Leipzig Star Center-Back!"

In a recent development, it has been reported that Manchester City has made a significant offer of €90 million (£77.4m) plus additional performance-related bonuses for RB Leipzig's talented center-back, Josko Gvardiol. The Premier League champions have identified the Croatian international as a key target for the summer transfer window and are eager to swiftly finalize the deal with the Bundesliga club.

This is not the first bid that City has made for Gvardiol, as their initial offer was turned down earlier this month by Leipzig. However, according to sources at Sky Germany, Pep Guardiola's side has returned with an improved proposal that includes a guaranteed sum of €90 million before factoring in any bonus payments tied to the player's performance.

Furthermore, Manchester City has already reached an agreement on personal terms with the 21-year-old defender, indicating their determination to secure his services.

According to the same report, RB Leipzig is already making preparations for Gvardiol's potential departure and has identified Lyon's 20-year-old center-back, Castello Lukeba, as a possible replacement.

It's worth noting that Chelsea had also expressed interest in Gvardiol and had submitted their own bid of €90 million (£77.4m) during the previous summer transfer window. However, a move to Stamford Bridge did not materialize at the time. In an interview with The Times in February, Gvardiol expressed his confusion over the failed transfer, citing his previous conversation with the sporting director who had assured him of his importance to the team. Nonetheless, the young defender had expressed his eagerness to join Chelsea.

As the transfer saga continues, it remains to be seen whether Manchester City's latest offer will be accepted by RB Leipzig and if Josko Gvardiol will ultimately make his way to the Etihad Stadium.
