Arsenal Reportedly Set to Make £75 Million Offer for Moises Caicedo as Brighton Alters Transfer Position

Arsenal are reportedly preparing a substantial offer of £75 million to acquire Brighton midfielder Moises Caicedo, as they aim to bolster their squad for the upcoming season. This comes amidst the potential departure of Granit Xhaka to Bayer Leverkusen and Mikel Arteta's desire to add at least one new central midfielder to his ranks.

While West Ham captain Declan Rice remains a priority target for Arsenal in the upcoming transfer window, the club is also reigniting their pursuit of Caicedo. Despite unsuccessful attempts in the January transfer window, Arsenal seems undeterred and intends to submit an offer similar to the £75 million deal previously rejected by Brighton.

Notably, there has been a shift in Brighton's stance since January, as the club appears more willing to engage in negotiations with Arsenal. This change of heart follows a promise made to Caicedo, who has expressed interest in joining the Gunners. In a recent statement, Caicedo's agent, Manuel Sierra, emphasized Arsenal's appeal as a destination for the talented midfielder, citing the numerous clubs expressing interest in his client.

Chelsea is also rumored to be vying for Caicedo's signature after losing out to Paris Saint-Germain in their pursuit of Manuel Ugarte from Sporting. The competition between these top clubs underscores the growing demand and value associated with Caicedo, who still has four years remaining on his contract. As the summer unfolds, it remains to be seen which club will ultimately secure the services of the Ecuadorian international.
